Inlays
Inlays
If a hole in the tooth is to be filled, dentists today have many options, e.g. a filling or closing the tooth with an inlay. Inlay means inlay filling, and that in turn means: A solid shape is cast or milled from a material (e.g. ceramic or gold), which fits exactly into the “hole” prepared for the filling. To prevent it from falling out, the inlay is attached with an “adhesive”, a so-called adhesive or cement, depending on the design.
